I went for 27 years, every time I was in DC for my annual conference. LOVED the food and my favorite long-time waitress. So sad to see them close the Woodley Park location.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible
Best food I have had. My family and I decided to get for appetizers gyoza, they are to die for and the katsu? OH MY GOD. If you are in the area you have to stop by.
They made us great sushi, served us great saki, and they accommodated my wheat allergy without any fuss. I was stoked to see salmon harasu (salmon belly/fatty salmon) on the specials menu that night, and ordered some. So good! I will be back. Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to wheat, so I eat gluten-free. They were able to accommodate me without a problem, and they had gluten-free soy sauce (or maybe it was tamari, don't recall).
Consistent and lot of value and delicious.
Super friendly staff, fast service (although be patient when it's super busy), and delicious food They have a happy hour special until 7:30 pm for beer, house sake, and 2 pieces for $2. We availed ourselves of these and it was delicious (maybe 60 pieces a person?)
Racist and rude establishment. The waiter with the bowl cut and v neck top exposing his bird chest racially profiled us and tossed a soup bowl on the table.
