Great food, great city location for parking garage, excellent waitstaff, no delays. They asked what brought us out on a rainy night, I told them we were seeing a show at the playhouse, as it was a birthday gift for my wife. When we ordered dessert, the waitress brought out a sparkler candle and told us the dessert was on the house! We will be back many times!
Great place, big but not full. Had the duck and short ribs, very good!
Came in for a work lunch with a couple people. Quick service. Friendly staff. Recommend the filet tip cheese steak but swap out that aioli with cheddar.
All told, this was a very nice experience. We were seated immediately and had attentive waiter. They make wide variety of drinks which we all enjoyed. The food was good and properly proportions. First time here and would like to return....plus parking garage was right across the street.
FOOD Not the best bone on ribeye that I've ever had, but one of the best. The compound butter added that extra flavor. My wife had the filet which was fork tender! Perfect. Baked potato done nicely and the sautéed spinach was seasoned perfectly. The Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs were missing the spice I was expecting, but tasty overall. The chopped wedge was excellent as well. Nice interpretation of the wedge salad and the lettuce was as fresh as any other had in the past. We tried the homemade butter pecan ice cream. Super creamy. Hit the spot. Nice beer and wine selection... though my wife favored the Stateside Mule which was one of the best she's had. SERVICE Erin was great. Upbeat, friendly, efficient and always smiling! Our dinner was truly enhanced because of her service. Looking around, the other servers we're present, but she truly enjoyed what she was doing. Thank you again Erin! There were a couple of food handlers as well which were very pleasant. Dropping off party room meal and telling you to enjoy and removing plates without being intrusive is always a plus. ATMOSPHERE This sounds like an HGTV plug, but Tonic has nice curb appeal. Nestled between a bunch of high rises and office buildings, it stood out as a higher end Steakhouse. Actual gas lanterns out front, outdoor seating which we look forward to when the weather breaks, and it was complimented, by Hotel DuPont right down the road. Inside there were array of seats including the bar, high tops, open seating and semi booths. We were fairly close to a table behind us, but did not feel closed in. Modern appearing without being too modern if that makes sense. Dietary restrictions: GF friendly
