Toby Carvery Chapel Allerton

Not been since pre lockdown and was pleasantly pleased at the pleasant service and the quality of the carvery veg. What used to be soggy, bland and overcooked is now the opposite. Only disappointment was the poor veggie gravy. Price was excellent for 9 of us, less than £15 per head including some puddings. Not all of us had room after the generous main course Finally a special thanks for accommodating our bigger party at a busy time Most recent visit was let down by not being able to reserve a table in the bar as requested due to us having our dog with us. Not made clear when booking on line. Staff were dismissive on arrival. No assistance to find a table or to clear it. No table service. Made to feel a second class citizen despite paying the same. Another visit but far better service from our server Kiki but what really impressed me was our carver Kris. When I asked for a vegetarian plate, he washed his hands before handing it over. Very thoughtful but sadly it's never happened before

Carver Kris and Server Jean-Paul always serve with a smile and familiarity. Toby has been part of my Thursday night routine for months and always happy to see their faces.

Came in for breakfast this morning looking forward to it to be quite disappointed after paying over £30 for 3 breakfast you would expect it to be somewhat warm but it was cold warmest part was the toast for what's you pay today we didn't get what we paid for not sure if I will return to this toby carvery not clvalue for money at all .... was a complete waste today

Came here with my boyfriend. It was a busy Sunday but we booked ahead. There was about 4 staff members behind the bar who let us stand there for around 5 minutes until someone went to get the waitress to take us to a table. The waitress looked at us and just said 'you booked?' and we got the sense she was annoyed at us for turning up. We said yeah and then she took us to a table and tried to take our drink orders before we had a chance to even sit down. We got bad vibes and didn't feel wanted as customers so we just got up and left before the drinks came. It's so disappointing that Toby Carvery allows staff to be like this. We normally love a Toby Carvery and we live fairly close but we will definitely not return whilst it's being run so terribly.

Lovely food and great service. Server Kiki is friendly and attentive to needs.
