Lovely atmosphere good food
Good venue. Good food. Dog friendly.
We came here to see some family members so friendly and what a brilliant atmosphere very, very dog friendly will definitely be staying here next time we visit beautiful buildings lovely staff
Lovely ambience and views. However it was disappointing that there was no vegetarian full English. Service was slow considering it was quite quiet. Coffees weren’t particularly hot.
Staff brilliant, ambiance wonderful and food fantastic
Lovely Sunday roast, friendly staff and good views once the mist lifted.
Burger a solid 7/10, fries a solid 8 but chips a solid 9/10 but go for the chunky chips! Very busy with a great atmosphere, no pie of the day a shame but hopefully next time
We were Party of ten booked in for Sunday lunch. We arrived on time and seated quickly. It took over an hour for the food to start arriving from the time we placed the order. There were 4 children in the party but their food was largely delivered last. (The place was not busy). The Sunday lunch was not of a good standard, roast potatoes tasted stale along with the Yorkshire’s. The meat was not the best of quality. The bass was a limited portion. On an upside the brownie was very good. There were not adequate staff to provide a reasonable service. Our table was allowed to build up with plates , we had to prompt the staff to clear the tables. We had to go to the bar to order dessert although it was table service and a service charge was raised. The location is beautiful and we as a family have enjoyed going there over the years. It’s now starting to feel tired and poorly run, irony being they advertise their recently given awards. Due to the poor service it was not possible to relax and enjoy the space.
