Worst Tim’s in Nanaimo. There is terrible staff that can’t take orders clearly. The food is slapped together with no care or effort.
It is what it is. You know what to expect going in
I ordered one of the pastery pinwheels from this location. I was given the wrong kind and it was RAW. Theyre supposed to be served warm and it definitely was not, inedible. I called the location to let them know, "oh sorry". No offer of a refund or to make it right. I called their customer service line and they said the owner would reach out, it's 5 days later and I've heard nothing.
Sandwich is not fresh, coffee is hot.
The worst TH I’ve ever experienced! Egg sandwich, ice cold! The yolk of egg was black not green…black!! Potato patty, ice cold! Staff standing around doing nothing…. two girls at the window standing around chatting doing nothing. Disgusting! This location should be closed.
Absolute fail. Came through the drive through with my children. Not a single item was correct. Toasted bagels not toasted, wrong type of bagel (asked for everything bagel, got cheese instead), wrong size drink, wrong donuts. The guy working the drive through insisted on rushing by not letting me finish listing our order and telling me to drive up after each item. Clearly a poorly managed Tim Hortons franchise.
I believe in dealing with unpleasantries and unsatisfactory transactions with the people at the establishment in person. But I'm doubtful any care or consideration will be given for how incredibly disappointing this location has been as of late. My bank-card has been having problems lately and tends to decline on the first attempt to pay. Twice it occurred at Tim Hortons - Brooks Landing, and on both of those occasions I have been made to feel like the worst person they've dealt with. On the first occasion, I paid and the POS machine was taken away before I could see for myself if the transaction went through. Food was given and I was standing outside by my car when an employee came running out, yelling at me something along the lines of, "You! Come back inside now. Your payment declined. You cannot just leave!" And this in front of a crowd of other people. Today it happened again in the drive-through. My card apparently declined but it was unbeknownst to me. As I was driving off, the window-attendant screamed at me. "Buddy! Your card declined! Back up now!" I was very embarrassed... Between the filth and unkempt appearance of the cafe, the subpar quality of the food, the downright rude and careless service from the staff, and the genuinely upset feeling I was given today over a $2 coffee because my card declined, I have had enough! Tim Hortons, look into this one. I will never go back to this location. And based on some of the other reviews I see here, I am not the only one.
Ordered a dozen donuts, cashier tried to charge me individually for each one. Argued when I said that wasn't right. Spoke bad English, I couldn't understand her and she couldn't understand me. She went to get her manager - another Indian woman with an accent I couldn't understand, and she couldn't understand me; but this manager ALSO tried to charge me individually for each donut. I have absolutely no issue with immigrant workers, but you HAVE to be able to understand your English-speaking customers, and it is an asset to be understood by said customers. Lost a sale. Update: I complained, as per request of the response from owner. Their "solution" was to have the manager of the restaurant reach out to me....with accusations, an accent I could not understand, and an argumentative attitude. He also did not understand what I was trying to say. Ended up hanging up on him. Absolutely atrocious service all around. Nothing resolved. I have returned to this location once since and the woman at the window was too busy speaking Punjabi to her coworker to acknowledge me at the window and handed me my order whilst looking over her shoulder. Did not acknowledge me one bit; didn't even make eye contact. I cannot believe the "service" at this location. Everybody needs to be fired, and new staff need to be brought in with new management and proper training.
