First time customer Okay, so I want to start by saying the staff that greeted me and explained the menu to me were absolutely delightful. The girl who took our order was friendly and helpful. On to the food. This was by far the worst "tex-mex" that I have ever seen in person. I got excited when I saw shrimp on the menu so I ordered the shrimp quesadilla. I don't know who needs to hear this but part of the word quesadilla literally means cheese... It's a cheese dish.. the main component is cheese. Even Taco bell gets this right..... See my pics of the shrimp quesadilla I payed 13 bucks for and come to your own conclusion.... Again very friendly staff. The food is overpriced prison food.

Me and my family came here for a Late Lunch on Saturday, February 3rd. Walked in and the nice young lady welcomed us in and the very nice Manger named Jack I think was so very nice to us and took great care of us. Thank you so much!! We will always come here!!! And great customer service and great atmosphere. People definitely need to come here for a awesome lunch or dinner. And also Great Food!!

Ordered on Uber eats and the app glitched and part of my order was missing when I placed it. Called to add to my order and Emma was so nice! She got us taken care of. Food is delicious. Will be ordering from y’all again for sure.

We were so excited to find a Tijuana Flats here in Saint Augustine. We had one in South Carolina but unfortunately it closed. The young man that took our order was very friendly and helpful. He had a great attitude and we watched him as he worked hard. It only seemed to be two workers in the place, but they worked hard to get the food out as quickly as they could. The young man apologized to my husband and I but we both felt like there was no need to apologize. He was working his tail off and brought the food quickly as he could and it was still hot. The young man was working the register, helping the cook, and cleaning windows and tables. I wish I would’ve gotten his name. I would definitely recommend this place. we enjoyed it so much and have missed it so much in South Carolina that we went back a second time.

I enjoy Tijuana Flats! My usual go-to is the Flautas, especially because it comes with a side of queso included. The Flautas I chose were good, but because I've had them so many times before I dare say I've enjoyed them more in the past. Perhaps it is because I swung for the Cheesy Steak variety advertised on their menu signage and website. My usual order is either refried bean or chicken flautas, and from what I remember those options always arrived a bit more full of their filling. This time for me, the queso stole the show! The picture if the Cheesy Steak Flautas as seen on the website left somewhat to be desired as I tried it for myself. The staff was cordial and friendly! I really enjoyed how the young man who took our order approached our table after our food was delivered and we began eating to ask if we needed anything. Very considerate and thoughtful when this restaurant is one where orders are not taken at the table, but instead taken at a register when the guest walks in. Since staff from the kitchen deliver the food, it is a nice touch that the person at the register follows up with guests when they have time to check in between ringing orders. The dining room had several other parties, but the cumulative volume inside was not terribly loud. A pleasant experience overall! Thank you! Update: Things are heating up and looking very celebratory around our Tijuana Flats location! I asked if there is anything special going on and they are preparing for Cinco de Mayo when they will stay open until 12am midnight (St. Augustine S. Ponce de Leon location)! On that day and into the evening they will have a special $5 Cinco Menu, games like cornhole and contests, and maybe even more for the little ones you have in tow Friday, May 5, 2023. Update May 24, 2023: The young man working the floor while we dined in was extremely attentive, returning again and again to make sure at the least our drink levels hadn't fallen too far rendering any of us in need of a refill. He eliminated any trays that food had since been devoured from. Thanks so much for paying attention and making sure all our needs were met. Very helpful staff on board at Tijuana Flats St. Augustine. The tortilla chips were so very fresh today as noted by my youngest. The chips happen to be his favorite part of his usual kid's nuggets order. Good thing a generous amount of them are given every time, too! Crunch crunch crunch!

When I arrived there were about 5 customers in the restaurant, while we ordered the cashier made things way more complicated then they had to be. The food took SO LONG to be ready, the proportions were small, the food didn't taste very good... overall a bad experience.
