Tiger Dumplings

Came across this Chinese (or more accurately Asian fusion?) restaurant on social media, which had garnered a lot of buzz. It specializes in noodles, dumplings, and other small plate dishes, and the beautiful ambiance and attractively decorated dishes piqued my interest. Visited on a busy Friday night and had to wait about 30-55 minutes to be seated (so we ended up ordering takeout and it was around 15-20min wait). We tried the signature dumplings, xiaolongbao, Taibei noodles, and hot chili noodles. However, if you’re expecting authentic southern Chinese noodles, you might be disappointed. The Taibei noodles, accompanied by Japanese-style fried pork cutlets, tasted overcooked and were overly sweet. The hot chili peanut noodles were heavily flavored and lacked authenticity. On a positive note, the dumplings were a standout, with thin skins and flavorful fillings. The xiaolongbao lacked the juicy filling it’s known for, and it was hard to tell if they were half-processed or freshly handmade. Overall, I’d give this restaurant 3 stars for its pleasant ambiance, wide variety of food choices, and friendly staff. While the food was decent, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I might return to try other dishes to see if my opinion changes. I couldn’t tell if they were partially pre-made or made fresh on-site. I’d give this restaurant 3.5 stars for its pleasant ambiance, wide variety of food choices, and friendly staff (they even provide light refreshments for people who are waiting to be seated). The food was decent but not as authentic as expected, which is understandable since it needs to cater to a broader audience. I might return to try other dishes to see if things change. Btw, you need to find street parking and no parking spots in front of the restaurant.

Received uncooked dumplings with raw pork and raw lamb. The staff was apologetic but that simply isn’t enough for a bump up in rating. Your one job is to cook food safely. Serving a family of 4 with children under 6 raw pork is unacceptable. I felt sick for days afterwards.

Incredible dumpling restaurant!!! All the food was delicious and the atmosphere and decorations were really cool. We'll definitely come back

Mouth watering. Took awhile to be waited on but the food came out rapidly. I suggest going with people and getting all the different soup dumplings

The decoration of the place was 5/5 , but the waiter was not friendly and seemed to hate his job. As for the food, definitely 2/5 stars . We decided to try it after seeing an Instagram influencer's post about this new place. The video looked amazing, which is why we went. Also, as an Asian, I know what authentic dumplings should taste like. We ordered: - Shanghai Braised Roast Duck: The first bite was not bad, but it soon became kind of dry when we ate the second piece. I'll give it 3/5 . - Shanghai Soup Dumplings and Chicken Soup Dumplings: Both were awful. The skin was way too thick, and the taste was bad. I'll give them 1/5 . - Scallion Pancake: 4/5 . - Tiger Signature Pot Stickers: These were the tiniest potstickers I have ever seen in my life. So thin and flat. The taste was okay. 2/5 . - Tiger Signature Dumplings: They were okay, but definitely not worth $12.95. I'll give them 3/5 Will we go back again? No. It's definitely a one-time thing
