We found this pub by accident today, having taken a wrong turning. What an absolutely delightful place! Thatched roof, log burning fire, 2 handsome goats in the garden. Even a defibrillator for those who have overeaten. Every member of staff was warm and welcoming. The Sunday Roast was magnificent, never before have I been offered a whole extra sauce boat of gravy, there were four scrummy potatoes, as well as green beans, parsnip, cabbage, a lovely Yorkshire, and of course roast beef. We have healthy appetite, but struggled to eat everything. Instead of pudding, we had the locally produced ice cream which was fab. If your route takes you along the A1 in Hertfordshire, this is an excellent diversion. Love and best wishes from the lady with the blue plaster.
Lovely pub with great food and very friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended
Friendly pub with welcoming staff. Food looks good, although it has been many years since I last ate there. I caught it on Burns Night, hence the video!
Lovely Sunday roast! Food was delicious, had some very tasty & original croquettes to start, followed by a fantastic covered all bases, banging roast! Vegetarian options: Enough vegetarian options, we had a vegetarian starter & my wife had a vegetarian main Parking: Easy to park, if not in car park, plenty on the quiet street
Best Roast for miles. Good choice of beers, and good atmosphere
When visiting relations, we booked into the Three Horseshoes for dinner. The place was very busy, but the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We had a nice bottle of white wine to accompany our meal of fish and chips. The meal was well presented and most enjoyable, and very reasonable in cost. We will definitely go to this village pub again when next in the area.
Fantastic chef and Sunday roast amazing
Great all round Julie and Ferry are so welcoming
Thanks to the team at the three horseshoes for taking the time to call me back with a cancellation on the very busy Sunday roast on the 3rd December last. The food was fantastic and I rate it a 10/10 good quality and executed perfectly. We also had a very warm welcome from a very lovely young member of staff with long dark hair ( sorry I can’t remember her name) must be the strong Peroni lager lol. We did try all the other local pubs nearby but we found them not geared up for food hospitality.
