Response from the owner from my comment about a staff member being rude. “Thanks for the review Anthony. We apologise you feel that way and whilst any tone can be down to individual perception our staff receive an unacceptable amount of abuse from discerning customers who feel they’ve waited to long to be served despite the fact they’ve walked past the 5 ft clearly marked ‘wait to be seated sign’ so that we can meet them and see to them. This is the same procedure at any park cafe, pub/restaurant and we are no different. My response to your reply to my review: My individual and any normal Persons perception of your staff members approach was rude. We didn't abuse anyone, we walked through and didn’t say a word. There was no cue so you are talking b*****ks. Thank you for mentioning the 5ft sign. If we had seen it we would have waited. I have had a look on your cafes reviews and you are always defensive and clearly cannot accept criticism. You make excuses to every review and don’t think your cafe and staff do wrong. That makes you naive. Your business will not grow if you don’t accept negative reviews. Unfortunately I could not respond to your reply to my review so I have had to edit it in the hope you read.

Staff always seem rushed off their feet. They don’t have time to give you a second. Could do with hiring some more people. Good food and drinks are good.

Just had a lovely Caesar chicken and bacon panini with potato salad followed by a great selection of buns. Will defo return!

Love this place so much! The coffee is delicious, the surroundings are wonderful right in the middle of the park. Food is fab and staff are friendly. Love the big sofas in the summer. My only constructive criticism (which doesn’t dent the five star rating) is the strange ordering system which means that seemingly available staff aren’t tasked with taking your order and they have to get someone else. I have never really understood it and it can be frustrating but, that aside, it’s super duper and I feel like a lucky girl that it’s right on my doorstep .

Just popped in for some survival supplies for a muddy walk !! Holly and the girls are even more beautiful every time I go, and they make the place tbh!!!! Cake exceptional !!! Gorgeous place and gorgeous coffee !!! Thank you xxx

Updated this review from a 2* I posted 6 months ago. This place has improved dramatically. Our last 4 or 5 visits have been great, food is absolutely mouthwatering, service is quick despite the place often being busy. Just had a grilled haloumi wrap with Asian slaw that was sublime. Great turn around for everyone involved!

Excellent, a go to place for coffee , croissant and cake , also have a full menu up to 4pm, inside or outside Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance and waitress helped open the door, comfy seats inside cafe.
