Nice food

Excellent service. We had a waitress with blonde hair. She was super nice and friendly with the dog. Our service was spot on. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. You are not sat too close to other tables. Toilets are super clean. I would recommend people to book in advance. We will be back again on a regular basis when we come to bakewell. They have a special area for people with dogs. Dogs must be friendly to make it enjoyable for everyone else.

Such a lovely place in a great location. Food was so nice, sea bass fillets and pulled pork/patty were excellent. We’re frequent visitors to Bakewell, so will definitely be back. This is the best place for food in Bakewell. Good team.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Its a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and really helpful but most of all the food is amazing. I'm gluten and dairy intolerant and there are several choices. We always share the nachos starter, it's so good. I had the mushroom risotto and my husband had the seafood linguine. They were both delicious. We've been 3 times before and every time we enjoyed our visit and food. Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy and vegan have separate menus. Parking: Parking was just £3 in the heart of Bakewell.

From hearty British classics like steak and ale pie and roast dinners to more contemporary dishes like gourmet burgers and seasonal salads. Locally sourced ingredients are a highlight, showcasing the best of Derbyshire's produce. Recently had the pleasure of trying the fish and chips, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, with a crispy golden batter that added just the right amount of crunch. Each mouthful was bursting with flavor, and the portion size was incredibly generous. The chips were cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside – and the mushy peas were a delicious accompaniment. The ambiance of The Woodyard only added to the experience. The cozy interior and friendly staff made me feel right at home, and I couldn't have asked for better service. It's clear that the team at The Woodyard takes pride in what they do, and it shines through in every aspect of the dining experience.

It's a really lovely place. Great food and we were very well looked after by Sophie. We were a big group celebrating a family birthday and they did so much to make it special despite the fact that we only booked in the morning. Would highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Mushroom risotto, butternut squash risotto, mushroom pasta, pizzas Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with good options of mains, sides, and chips/mash. Or pizza/pasta options.
