Fabulous food with wonderful staff. So lovely on a weekend for lunch.

The Sunday carvery was a delight... The Meat was well seasoned and perfectly cooked... Well done everyone 👍👍👍👍 It's just the owner now it would be nice if he smiled now or then ... Only joking ...Well done Simon and Georgina xxx

We heard such good things about the food, but were rather disappointed. We went for Sunday lunch. The vegetables had been treated with respect (so many seem to throw them on as an after thought), the roast potatoes crispy, the cute and generous jug of gravy were all very much appreciated. The meat (beef and lamb) was dry and tough. The starters were just a little of not very much. I will never understand hot food being put on top of cold vegetables! The satay sauce on the chicken was a peculiar texture. We got very excited about the Crunchie cheesecake, to find it had very few pieces of honey comb crumbled on top and whilst tasty, it was heavy, and really not what you'd expect. The staff were all very pleasant. Their system of two bills (one for your food, another for your drinks) I am sure has it's reason. But when a dining client asks "for the bill please", I don't think it much to expect your bill (both bills), to come together, and not expect the client to then go in search of the second (the drinks) bill. Escuchamos cosas tan buenas sobre la comida, pero quedamos bastante decepcionados. Fuimos para el almuerzo del domingo. Las verduras habían sido tratadas con respeto (muchos parecen arrojarlas después), las patatas asadas crujientes, la linda y generosa jarra de ´gravy` fueron muy apreciadas. La carne (ternera y cordero) estaba seca y dura. Los entrantes fueron solo un poco de no mucho. ¡Nunca entenderé que se ponga comida caliente encima de verduras frías! La salsa satay del pollo tenía una textura peculiar. Nos emocionamos mucho con el pastel de queso Crunchie, y descubrimos que tenía muy pocos trozos de panal de caramelo desmenuzados encima y, aunque sabroso, era pesado y realmente no era lo que esperabas. Todo el personal era muy agradable. Su sistema de dos cuentas (una para su comida, otra para sus bebidas) estoy seguro que tiene su razón. Pero cuando un cliente de comedor pide “la cuenta por favor”, no me parece mucho esperar que su cuenta (las dos cuentas), se junten, y no esperar que el cliente luego vaya en busca de la segunda (las bebidas).

Best pint of Guinness in Sabinillas, warm and welcoming bar with friendly staff. Definitely a place to stop in for a beer and food when in the area.
