Blake has been surrounded by the service industry throughout the last two decades of his life. His grilling journey started during his collegiate years at his uncle's fast pace restaurant that specialized in steak. Blake worked and managed restaurant kitchens throughout the parish, as well as working alongside Chef John Folse in the food service division of his manufacturing plant. In 2011 Blake opened "The SteaKhouse" in a small location in downtown Hammond where they continued to cultivate Blake's following along with their supreme regular customer base. In 2017 Blake was given an opportunity of a lifetime to move their growing business into Square 71 located at 200 SW Railroad Ave. in downtown Hammond.
