My family recently visited Baton Rouge. We tried out the Smiling Dog. Our server, Kyle's excellent recommendations led us to delightful local fruit sours and another beer that slipped our minds, but we loved them! The fish and chips and steak and ale pie were fantastic, leaving us more than satisfied.

I've been searching for a great fish and chips. I finally found it at The Smiling Dog. Fish fried to perfection. The size of the plate. I ate the best fried onion rings I've had in many years, served with an excellent remoulade sauce. Fast, friendly service and a full service bar. Dogs allowed and even a pup menu. Located on Sherwood Forest Blvd. Can't wait to return! Parking: Plenty available Kid-friendliness: Great hospitality Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor
