Good vibes and an amazing staff💜💜
What a gem. Great BBQ and a wonderful staff. We'll definitely return when we get back to STL
With an array of sauces and a surprising specialty dish... This is damn good bbq.
I would have never ordered the smoked meatloaf with root beer glaze but the bartender said you can't go wrong and I'm glad I took his advice. The burnt ends with goo bbq is also outstanding. The pulled chicken... Also excellent. This is now one of my St Louis favs!
Restaurante especializado em BBQ. O atendimento é ótimo, os molhos são bem elaborados e a comida gostosa. O espaço é pequeno então não há muitas mesas, o que não foi um problema pois havia disponibilidade imediata.
This was our first stop in St Louis for food. We stayed for Labor Day weekend. Seriously some of the best BBQ we’ve had! The staff were so inviting, friendly, and patient. We had a baby with us and all. Amazing inside and out. Clean inside and out. The food was fresh, came out in a timely manner, and well worth the wait. It’s a bit pricey, but definitely good for it! We definitely expected some more options with duck, but there weren’t but two. And one was food cooked in duck fat.
Great smokehouse with live music! I’d recommend the duck confit!
You HAVE to go here! Best bbq I’ve had from a restaurant in my life. We stumbled across them on google after being turned away from Sugarfire Smokehouse and I am so glad we did. We ordered the burnt ends, the smothered fries, the full rack of ribs, the brisket burger, and the tri tip sandwich. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They even acknowledged my baby, which is bonus points with me. Coming from ATL, we’re used to long waits but despite being packed, they had us seated in no time. If we ever find ourselves back in St. Louis, we will definitely be coming back!!
Best thing we ate was the meatloaf!
The food is really hit and miss in my experience, I have had both really good and really bad meals here. I swore them off and got dragged back recently by friends, and it was great. I don't know what to think anymore, some days it is a 1/5 for me and others it's a 5/5. I wish they would find consistency
Actually the best restaurant to visit in STL. Such genuine and kind people, the food is insanely good, and we always leave with smiles on our faces. Can’t recommend this place enough!
First time visiting St Louis and The Shaved Duck— we wanted some good bbq! Here’s what we had — burnt ends, collared greens, Texas ribs, side of tri tip, and caramelized onion mashed potatoes. The ribs and burnt ends were DELISH! We really enjoyed and the flavor was excellent. Didn’t even need sauce on the ribs honestly but there were plenty of sauces to choose from at our table. The tri tip was quite salty so much so you needed a bite of mashed potatoes to cut it a bit. On the menu the carmash potatoes seemed amazing but sadly the onions weren’t caramelized, just sautéed. It’s a totally different texture (I hate a bite) and flavor (no sweet caramelized onion goodness) when not totally caramelized so that was disappointing and I just pushed the onions to the side. The collards were not bad!
Service was very good and folks were friendly. The place was empty when we got there, filling up by the time we left. The meat hit the spot for our bbq craving and we left satisfied overall. If they get those onions caramelized proper I’d be hooked.
