Polite, friendly staff members. Great range if drinks from draft to bottled. Live band nights are a huge ☆☆☆☆☆. Food is bar snacks here

I came from Manchester to meet a girl I met online but she cancelled at the last minute, not bothered as I'd heard of this pub year's ago and have been meaning to go, welcomed with lovely staff and fantastic Cask ales and a great stout.

Great little venue to see bands at , it's about 70 miles from us , but always well worth the trip. Wheelchair accessibility: One small step at the door, when we left we found that the staff had put me a ramp to exit, many thanks!

Good that there are still some small independent music venues like the Salty Dog. There's always a good atmosphere and they manage to get some excellent bands. A big bonus to be able to have a decent cask ale as well.

The bartenders were great and knowledgeable. The vibe, decor and music were great. Beers were pricey for the area, but worth the price for the flavour. We went on a Friday for drinks only, so can’t comment on the food, but really enjoy it and will be going again.
