The Royal Oak Cartmel

This place is amazing staff were professional and attentive in every way. Food looked delicious however we didn’t eat here. We Did speak to a lady who said her food was delicious. We will definitely be trying food here

Been in here a few times..superb range of local well kept cask ales, last visit we tried some food which was excellent...just wish we lived a little closer

Probably the worse hotel i have ever stayed in. I was there for 3 nights unfortunately. This hotel advertises as a B and B but does not serve breakfast making you go to a local cafe. Totally naff. Food at the cafe was very poor so i only ate there once. Plus they will not allow you to depart from your allocated time. I only ate once in the hotel and the food there was equally appalling. The rooms have no TV’s ( a first in my experience!!) and as a final insult on the last morning there was no hot water so had to have a cold shower. Avoid this place anything else would be better.

Pub is really nice. Friendly staff. Only went in for a drink as the bus service doesn't run after 2.30

Best pub ever!

Went in quite late for a Monday evening and received excellent reception and service. Food was great- thanks chef for fitting us all in. Drinks were great Warm country cozy pub - all good
