The Roundhay Fox

Came for my birthday yesterday I had the fish and chips it was a lovely big portion, our waitress was Jenny she was friendly we will definitely be back again soon.

We were led to a table which was around 15 foot from the outside door in the restaurant. The outside door was repeatedly left open by customers and the cold draft really did spoil what meant to have been a lovely afternoon. The restaurant was full so we had to remain seated at this table. The food was nice however we had to wait so long for the deserts. It was extremely obvious that the staff had forgotten to make them and after Atleast a 20 - 30 Min wait, we was informed by the staff that they was sorry but the chefs were busy. We then had to suffer another long wait for the deserts to arrive. It was obvious that they had forgotten our order. It really did spoil the day, however, we can not complain about the food as it was nice. It was the service which was lacking.

2nd time we have been here but 1st time for food. Wow! I had a Sunday dinner and other half had the pie of the day with mash, carrots and greens. We were both stuffed. All fresh ingredients, not overcooked. Proper home cooked Yorkshire pudding and roasties and the chicken pie was stuffed to the brim. Such a lovely pub/restaurant not far from roundhay park where we spent a couple of hours around the lake before coming for food. Definitely be back and Anna was our lovely waitress who looked after us. Parking: Parking behind pub/restaurant or main side road. All free

Bar man Dylan was very helpful and courteous, such a lovely polite young man. We came Friday afternoon and He was patient whilst placing food order and kind to my elderly mum who took forever to decide what she wanted and kept changing her mind. Quick with our drinks and all correct too. Will definitely visit again, service was great and food lovely.

Welcoming, great food - very reasonable prices and the barman Dylan who served our drinks, was so friendly and chatty. Will definitely come again

My self and partner visited the Roundhay fox pub what an establishment the food was excellent and the service was second to none....enjoyed it well worth visiting Clara and Dylan credit to the establishment professional and really helpful and well mannered.....10 out of 10 Thanks ....Mr D clegg and Rachel Woods
