Great locals pub in the middle of nowhere serving pies, pies and more pies. Nice atmosphere, what’s not to like. Best book a table if you want to eat, very popular. Ho nearly forgot it’s Dog friendly!

Well if you're going to have pie this is the place to do it absolutely amazing.

Had Sunday lunch today. The food was first class. Had the mixed roast (beef and pork). Both excellently cooked. The good lady had steak pie and mushy peas. She was raving about how good it was. Can't comment on deserts we were too stuffed! Will be going back.

Visited the Red Lion for lunch with friends. Booked in advance using efficient online booking system. Warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Great to visit a country pub that has retained many of its original features. We had roast beef Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. With their extensive pie menu as well, it was a difficult choice. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A good value for money menu. Definitely worth visiting. Thank you to the staff.

We had a really fun and tasty evening. I have never experienced a pub quiz and 'play your cards right'. One of our party won both! The landlord was great and our pies were tasty. Highly recommended for a mid week meal.

Jesus christ! Don't eat anywhere else, the best pie and mash in the history of pie and mash!
