Beautiful place, great staff.

Very enjoyable afternoon tea. Very quiet setting on the river. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Was expecting a nice stay, The whole place is falling apart, hasn't seen any external maintenance for what looks like thirty years , gutters blocked , wood rotten, paint flaking, it's a mess, the highlight was the food it was excellent , then no power Sunday morning, no coffee no shower, worst of all no porridge, We did get a refund for inconvenience, but my god they need to spend some time and money, lack of maintenance has spoilt a really nice place.

My partner and I went for afternoon tea here. A beautiful place very clean and service was excellent. Our only disappointment was the afternoon tea. I have never seen such small sandwiches and although everything sandwiches and cakes were lovely we both left still hungry which has never happened before when I have been for an afternoon tea.

We went for a three course meal, so I cannot comment on the rooms. It was easy to get there, with a short section on country lanes, but close to larger roads. The entrance is to the side, facing the river. You could hear Donnington Park racing circuit, when outside, but not at all inside. The location is picturesque, and a wedding party was having pictures taken, as we arrived. There is plenty of free parking. The house is lovely and the room we were in was lovely. The food was very nice and the service was great. They had a small bar in the upstairs room we were in, the Riverside Suite. All in all, this is a place to consider for an event; close to the M1/A50, but nicely tucked away.

Fine location and quaint room. The whole place is in need of serious maintenance and some decorations. Staff were polite and helpful. Food good with a nice selection on the menu. Rooms: Smallish but plenty adequate. Bathroom is nice but tired. Not everything works! Walkability: There is good walking nearby and Donington race circuit is very close. Food & drinks: Good food, and wine. Limited choice of real ales which is a pity in this area.

Great location close to ema and Donington. Very quiet considering how close the airport and major roads are. Great quality rooms and food.
