The Plough Inn Normanton on Soar

Lovely country pub in this pretty village. What a find! Good food and drink too.

We recently held a surprise party for my dad here and it was the perfect venue! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was amazing, they put on a massive buffet with lovely sandwiches filled to the brim, homemade sausage rolls, quiche, brownies and a separate GF selection too! We went early to decorate the room and they gave us access to the music system so we could have our own playlist on. The room is lovely and easily fit 45 people, we got lucky with the weather and could also spill outside to be in the sun which was a bonus! Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to host an event or party!

Very good selection of food and drink available, didn't know it existed until my brother suggested it as a place to visit on my weekend up from Cornwall.

Came for lunch with family. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was stunning. The dish I had was chicken ballotine, presentation and taste excellent (compliments to the chef), and now I have to return to try the Sunday lunch.

Fantastic food, stunning location. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We look forward to another trip soon.
