Excellent pub. Food and staff

Loved it.

Great size pub, staff were so lovely and helpful despite it being busy and we loved that it's dog friendly Also outdoor space with a play area for kids!! That's was a huge bonus and reason for choosing this pub. Food was disappointing for pub food. Went to a McMillian branded pup the day before that was incredible in comparison.

I come to the plough regularly with my partner. Lovely food, lovely staff. In particular James behind the bar is amazing, always remembers our drinks order and is pleasant and welcoming always. Cannot recommend this pub enough

Rang in advance to reserve a table. We were told we'd need to be there by 4pm for Sunday lunch options, especially vegetarian. Got there at 3.30pm and no Sunday lunch options left. Had a lacklustre over priced veggie burger and chips. Staff were friendly enough and a nice beer garden, but this experience put me off.

Lovely lunch

Been to the plough a few times and have always found the atmosphere really inviting staff and management are always very polite. on this occasion I had steak and ale pie and tasted really good. will be back

The food was good, although it took quite a long time to arrive. Outside, to get down the curb, to the tarmac seating area, next to the play area, this place really needs a ramp or a drop down curb. My father had to help me down and up the curb, in my big heavy electric wheelchair, which wasn’t ideal.

My partner and I visited today at lunchtime. Very clean, good music and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn't match. My partner had the fish and chips. The fish was very oily. I ordered the grill. I asked for the steak medium. Well done. I cut into the steak, and my whole plate filled with animal blood. The chicken was disgusting and full of fat. The chips looked like they were at the end of the frozen bag with just little bits of chips left. The onion ring was unusual, looking, and slapped together. I sent the meal back it which they refunded the price. My advice if you want a mixed grill. Stay well clear and get yourself to Havester. Update two hours after leaving this review >:My partner is now not feeling well after eating here.
