Unfortunately I won't be returning to this establishment. We pre-booked a table of 3 with a dog, upon arriving we had a warm greeting and were shown to our table. The host/waiter said they'd be back to take our drinks order, completely fine as that is normal process and it gave us time to get settled and look at the food menu. 10 minutes passed and nobody had come to take our drink order. A couple who hadn't prebooked arrived and sat at a table near us, they immediately asked for their drinks and their drinks arrived very quickly. Our table still hadn't had anyone come to take our drink order, so I went to the bar to prompt them. The waitress then came and took both our drink and food order. We asked for a jug of cold water for the table, and also a water bowl for the dog. The waitress said she'd also bring the dog some treats. We waited another 10 minutes and no drinks arrived. When they did arrive, the waitress brought one glass of water just for one person, not a jug for the whole table like we'd asked for. No water or treats also came for the dog, once our mains arrived I had to ask the waiter again for some water for him. The food was okay (roast chicken dinner), lots of meat and veg but only two small roast potatoes that were rock solid, almost impossible to eat. My partner had ordered the Hawaiian burger and asked for sweet potato fries instead of the standard French fries, he was aware that there was an extra charge to this (completely fine) but when his meal arrived he had received both French fries and sweet potato fries, causing unnecessary waste as he couldn't eat it all. When the bill arrived, we had been over charged by £17. When we queried this with the waitress she checked it on the till, then came back to say the bill had subtotalled twice, hence the extra charge. She was apologetic and gave us the correct bill, but I dread to think if any other patrons had been overcharged like us and maybe not checked the bill carefully. The three of us wanted to pay separately, one of us went to the bar to pay for their share, the host/waiter asked us if we had had a nice time, we gave honest feedback but didn't receive an apology. We felt that our table had been neglected to focus on the bigger parties that were in. We won't be returning.

Visited today with 5 friends. The food mainly was value for money. £ 8.50 for small liver /mash/onion. Gravy was delicious. Pasta was tasteless, charged £ 3.50 for garlic bread! Charged £ 1.50 for mushy peas!!! The attitude of the waitress was was below expected standard. We were disappointed overall and will not patronize this pub again. Not because of the food, but the service received!! The manager did not accept ANY OF OUR CONCERNS!!!! Parking: There was plenty of space to park Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ♿️ accessible
