Couldn't rate this gem any higher. Definitely go and try their homemade pork pies & gorgeous cheeseboards. Very helpful staff ready to give advice from beers to cheese.

Great pub, friendly staff, fine selection of ales and a very tasty ploughman's lunch (other food available). Recommended.

As pub interiors go, this place cannot be beaten - multi-roomed, beams to duck under, real coal fires, panelled walls - a true classic. There’s such a lot going on here as well, the room I’m sat in is reserved for the club tonight. Dates back to 1451.
