The Old Grouch

Passing through to go to the Museum with relatives from New Zealand. Stopped for a late lunch. When you walk in there is nothing fancy about this old restaurant. The service is down home country welcoming. The menu is very small. Sandwiches, burgers, subs, perogies, and cabbage rolls and soup and some desserts. The soup was awesome. Home made burger patty and fries that were freshly cut and fried to perfection were delicious. Food & service ♥️ . Decor and tidiness dated and tired. But we went there for the food! The food was great and prices were reasonable Plenty of parking but the lot is a bit muddy in places . There is a ramp to get into the door.

Awesome little place to eat. Lots of really unique memorabilia to check out there. There is also a jam night every second Friday, which me and members of our band take part in. As well as other local musicians. A really neat place, with a great all around vibe. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp going up to main entrance for easy accessibility for a wheelchair.

The Old Grouch is a somewhat homey almost rustic style establishment, but as opposed to "garish decor", this place has decades of history and vintage on every wall!! It fits right in with the small town feel of Drumheller! It was a delight to walk in the door and meet Fran! We went for the grouch burger, but you could consider the grouch o saurus burger.... featuring a larger size bun and contents!! It would be great with a friend! We thoroughly enjoyed have a fun lunch here.... felt like we were invited into a friend's kitchen for a sit down! Highly recommended!

Craving grandmas cooking, or just a slice of homemade pie and a good cup of CAF, Some place to think. This is the spot in town support a grandma. Not a corporation. Little slice of Canada.

We loved the home style food, the quirky decor, and the reasonable price. Ok, it's not a "fancy" establishment if that is what you're looking for---but the restaurant's very name makes that pretty obvious. It was a nice way to end our day in Drumheller

Interesting place, really old school vibe. Only here for a few drinks. Great service.
