We had 2 two course meals and breakfast this weekend. Gorgeous food, served quickly and love the location and atmosphere. Prices are not too bad at all! Loved the Sunday roast and will definitely come back for one soon.
Deserves more than a 3.8 overall rating. Really beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious, just some of it was on the small side! This was the two course meal booked alongside the spa evening. The burger was the best part!
We has a Lovely evening food was fantastic special shout out to Toni very knowledge about the menu
Mediocre food and mediocre service, which Is a real shame. As an independent eatery they could really push the boat out with this and serve really good local food. Service was slow, food was average and the dessert felt like it had just been warmed up. A real shame.
Came here today for a meal , which was our 1st time. The setting , interior style was really nice ! Beautifully layed out . The staff were really great loved the service from a lad names Eward , he was really good fast and effective , wanted to help with anything at anytime! Food was nice for the a really good vaule for the price . I will be looking forward to attending again in the evening time menu . Thank you again for the staff for attending to the table so well.
The afternoon tea is extremely poor. The scones were cold and the cakes and the bread for the sandwiches were dry. Service was fine but nothing special. The place oozes class aesthetically and you feel like you should be looked after here but that wasn't the case. The place was quiet but staff didn't check in unless we asked for refills, even then it was difficult to get their attention. For a place that is promoting luxury the overall experience at The Oak House restaurant was below average. It was disappointing as the spa was incredible.
lovely service. great food. great atmosphere. will definately be coming back Kid-friendliness: service was very friendly .
Great food and views, great service. We had a Sunday dinner and enjoyed the night
Lovely time at the Oak House for an evening Sunday dinner Sept 17th Roast beef was spot on, could of done with more vegetables and the yorkshire puddings were a little tough. Puddings were lovely, although we had to wait a while for them, which the waitress proactively apologised for the delay which was nice. I had the Winter Pavlova and the wife had the Bread and Butter pudding. I would of had the sticky toffee pudding but I thought the temperature in the restaurant was a little too warm for a hot dessert and custard Overall, food quality is great for 2 courses for £21, lovely setting with attentive and courteous staff. Would definitely come back for a Sunday roast again
A fantastic location with beautiful views. The restaurant is really nicely decorated, food is good although felt a bit slow to serve and we were the only table. Staff is very friendly. Great bar upstairs and also has a nice private room that can be rented.
