This is a great little country pub that we found by accident, but we're glad we did as we shall be visiting again. The food was very good and the portions were too big for me. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
A fantastic place to meet friends and eat. All of our meals were excellent, the staff are very funny and engaging. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived and it did take sometime for them to take our order, but that said; the food and service was excellent. I had a lamb main which was cooked to perfection, two people had a cod & mussels main, again they said it was delicious. Certainly worth a visit there if you are looking for a friendly;smaller restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: While there is access into the building, there is a very small step(about 40mm) which can be a bit difficult for some power wheelchairs, like I have.
What better way to spend the Easter weekend than a visit to a homely Shropshire village pub and @the_newinn_baschurch most definitely delivered. Whether you’re a local popping in for a pint or two or a visitor to the area the buzzing atmosphere and friendly welcome will immediately put you at ease. ⭐️5/5 Recommended Price / The menu was a cut above what you may expect in a village pub with so many tempting dishes from decadent beef wellington to classic including homemade burgers and pies, certainly something for everyone. Locally sourced quality produce sets the foundation for an exciting and constantly adapting menu. We had to give the trio of home baked sourdough a shout out. Every one was a triumph, served with a bowl of mixed olives dipping oil and herb butter, perfect for sharing. Opting for steak and black pepper ‘pie of the day’ which was bursting at the seams. Small but hearty, this was not your average pie every bite was a delight! The rich bone marrow gravy brought the dish together flawlessly. Roast breast of juicy chicken accompanied by a confit chicken, garlic and tarragon kiev was a treat to the senses. Complete with buttery truffle mash, tenderstem and silky chicken sauce, beautifully satisfying. Flaky fish and homemade chips with crushed peas and tartare sauce, traditional and well executed.
Beautifully cooked food and lovely waiting on staff.
Excellent food very busy, but still good friendly service.
Excellent evening meal last weekend! Perfect meal - exceptionally varied gluten and dairy free menu!
