Hot chocolates are fabulous
This is a great little cafe by Scarborough Mere. Well worth a visit when you've had a walk around the Mere.
Called at the mere cafe with some biker friends for a cuppa stop. We got an assortment of drinks from Bovril ( £2.50 ) to chocohorlicks ( £4.00 ). It was ok but for the price it needed to be amazing . Same for the food . Chips £2.70 and Cheesy chips £4.50. Cheese Burger £4.50 so I tried the cheese burger with onions and BBQ sauce . Wish I hadn't . I had to squint to see the sauce among the pile of charcoal ... sorry onions. So BBQ sauce was reapplied to hide the burnt taste mixed in with the bit of cheese on it. We had a chill out . Used the loo and parted ways. Lovely area around the mere with loads of wildlife but if your on a bike the car park is awful with the gravel so beware . I will stick to the prices at the cafe on top of the mount . At least it's edible.
Lovely place really enjoyed a nice walk around the lake, the cafe has typical cafe food and is cooked well
