The Marlborough

I've been to the Marlborough so many times, as my family live around the corner. When I came in this weekend it sucked. And bare in mind I never write reviews, so this is saying something. The attitude of the woman behind the bar stunk. She looked so pissed off to be there in the first place. We ordered two Aperol Spritz and they were not good, so we took them back.. only for the woman to dip a straw in one of them and say they tasted alright. Then she proceeded to charge us £10 for some extra Aperol she put into the same drinks. Also, we were sat outside on Saturday evening for well over an hour and all the tables at the rear of the garden were completely covered in empty plates and glasses. It felt like we were surrounded Overall very unwelcoming and extremely sloppy.

Very good food, excellent service by Ashoc who even went and got us more gravy without asking . .Fast service from the bar while we waited for our food to arrive. This pub is hard to fault . Real Richmond asset near the park . Lovely large sunny garden and great for families and dogs . Nothing is too much trouble for the staff they are really very efficient and friendly . Peter
