The servers in this place seem really unhappy.
Historic community pillar. Great place with incredible staff for a pint and a bite or to host an event.
Iconic east coast vibes. Keith’s owned bar so the selection is limited but the Hazy IPA was tasty. Fried pepperoni and good tunes. A night of fun.
Wasn't dining, having a beer and listening to the band. Great music, fast, Friendly staff.
Being a Country Misic artist, I would love to get the chance sometime to play in this iconic pub and building. With three levels for seating, an amazing sound system for live music, and a private venue for parties on the 3rd floor, this place is a fun venue to visit! They have live music 7 days a week, and its quality. I stopped in over the holidays when I was back in Halifax and look forward to checking it out again when I'm back home!
Came all the way from Ontario after lots of recommendations. Entrance is $20. Okay bar but you’re not allowed to dance to the live music. You will get yelled at. Never been to a place like this in my life. FOOTLOOSE VIBES.
A Halifax classic. Lots of cheerful unlisted servicemen and their wives and GFs in their mid-50's... a sprinkling of high-heeled middle-aged cougars on the prowl and a handful of unshaven lounge lizards who looked like they work in the power station and got off the late shift. That said, 'twas the week before Christmas, and interesting nights are usually to be had here. If one wishes to know what a downtown Halifax tavern was like in the 1770's... this is happily the place! (Full disclosure, I was swept off my feet here once by a Norwegian lady officer on training)
You have to experience and enjoy this wonderful local spot! Fabulous staff, local food and full of fun times. Always!
