Wow ... Seriously ... Really, really good. Did NOT expect this, and this legit, way up here! And just a tad of their ghost pepper packet in the gumbo was amazing!

The Louisiana Cookery makes excellent Jambalaya, both sausage only sausage plus shrimps. It’s so good that I will come back for another take outs.

Just finished eating there and it was some of best gumbo I have ever eaten. I was born in Louisiana and I have lots of cajun family. I have grown up eating cajun food and I am picky about it. It was absolutely delicious!! Oh and the sweet tea!! Just like home. This was our last meal in NY before heading back home to TN. I am so glad we tried it!

DO NIT EAT HERE!!! First of all their customer service sucks!!!! Their food is not Cajun and they skimp you on the ingredients! I called back and told them that I had no meat in my gumbo. She went back and fourth with me about it being a soup. I spent over 50 dollars in there and for me, customer service is huge! I saw a roach in the wall near the kitchen. This place is a hole in the wall! Their food had NO FLAVOR AT ALL! RO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Does this look like gumbo?

Seasoning Lovers Beware: Imitation Louisiana Cooking Technically true advertising considering the recipes used, but the food tastes as though it's either cooked by people who have not had actual food in Louisiana, or they've maybe adjusted the recipes to accommodate what they perceive as a can't take spice WNY audience? Ordered the Red Beans and Rice, Gumbo and Cornbread. The sausage is the star of the show because it's where all of the flavor is, but you only get a few pieces of it. Once it's gone you're left with barely seasoned red beans that don't have any sauce/gravy that you're accustomed to with this recipe, and the rice can't carry that. The gumbo was bland as well. We could absolutely eat it but none of the typical spices were used, or they were used in severe moderation. I think I may have had a higher estimation of this food if I hadn't traveled to New Orleans last year and had a week of Red beans and rice and gumbo all around the city. If you love food that is well seasoned, this is not it. Or maybe order extra sausage so you can have spice with every bite. I am assuming they are just buying the sausage and cooking it, whatever brand it is, is amazing.
