Received a burnt bun on the burger, sent it back expecting a fresh one and got back the same burger with a different top bun, sent it back again and finally got a nice fresh burger. Seems the kitchen can cook but just can’t be asked to do things properly. The rest of the food was fine chips were a little cold. The manager was great she refunded the meal, gave us a free pudding, drink and side. The rest of the front of house were accommodating, maybe some more training is needed on quality control when food comes out. Think if you wouldn’t be happy to eat it, then re-cook the food.

The area manager really needs to sort out the poor atmosphere and appalling attitudes of the staff here on a Sunday morning. Customers are simply not made to feel welcome. The food is sent out with no regard to quality or portion size. The place is not cleaned properly. I overheard a family on a table near me politely ask a member of floor staff “can we move to a different table before our food gets here?” The waiter replied “no, it would be easier if you just stay where you are”… a small sample of how unwilling the staff are to be helpful in any way. I’ve added a photo of one of the 4 pieces of maple cured bacon which came with my daughter’s soggy breakfast pancakes. My own breakfast was cold and appeared to have been literally thrown onto the plate. The cutlery was delivered dirty and wrapped in a screwed up napkin. The floor staff did not check back and I suspect could not have cared less.

oh my goodness , where do I start , I will keep it very brief , the place was so messy , rubbish on the floor and in general a very dirty place , we were going to have food but when we saw the state of the place we changed our mind , we have eaten here before and the food was very good and pub a lot cleaner so whether it was an off day ( as in a day off day) for the cleaners I don't know , beer was good and hot chocolate very good as was the coffee , on this occasion report would read could do better a lot better .

Would never visit this Wetherspoons again. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was stale and non-existent, and everyone just stared at you. Upon asking a waitor the best table with a plug, they strugged their shoulders and just walked off. Once we found a table, it was dirty. We moved to another table that was slightly cleaner but still needed a clean and upon getting it cleaned it was cleaned with a cloth which didn't look very clean. The floor had food and dirt on them, the walls were broken and scratched, and the menus had holes/bite marks within them. The staff weren't happy within their jobs, and the place was utterly dismal. Will not be visiting again, ever!

As a Wetherspoon it is not bad. The service was as expected, prompt and fairly good. The real ale choice was passable but I have experienced much better. The food was good value for money but the condiment choice seemed poor, other Wetherspoon venues appear to have a greater selection. Overall, good value for money but a fair way short of other Wetherspoon venues I have visited.

I visited this place twice, and both times I wish I hadn't, I'm a ferm believe in second chances and I gave this pub one, again the pub was in a mess, the staff not one of them looked happy or well presented, Rowdy locals, made for a loud dining experience. The food again was served on a awful blue patterned plate, no presentation, just a handful of greasy chips that looked like they were cooked in old oil. They were not even crisp or hot. The burger was over cooked, so much so it was half the size of the greasy bun it was put in, with. What they need to do is not have such an intense menu, way to much is on there, so cut the menu down and put the profit into better ingredients, yes you won't have 50 items to choose from, but that means more people are likely to order food because the menu doesn't overwhelm them. I've heard the food was bad by other people but to witness it for myself was quite disserpointing. It's much to over priced for the quality of the food and I for one will not be returning.
