The Local Fix began its journey in 2015, born out of a simple yet profound idea: to create a space where locals could gather, connect, and rejuvenate. The founders, Kim and Mark Huffstutler, were deeply rooted in Uvalde’s history. Mark, a longtime resident, and Kim, who moved to the town for its welcoming charm, shared a vision of transforming a historic building on the Amber Sky property into a vibrant gathering spot.
