The Iron Works

We stayed at a hotel that was pretty close to this restaurant and figured we would try it for barbecue. We were told that the offerings were decent by some of the hotel staff members so my family and I opted to get take out! The disappointment was overwhelming I had the rib plate with mac and cheese and green beans and my husband had the brisket with green beans and fries. The food came in one of those 3 portion white foam clamshells. None of the sides topped the two ‘side’ sections in that clamshell, and let me tell you they were tiny!! To their credit the meat for both plates were tender but had absolutely no flavour and the accompanying sauces did not help!! The mac and cheese was disgusting..it resembled pasta thrown into watered down velveeta cheese and the green beans you could immediately tell came straight out a can…mushy and no additional seasoning added, and this entire area is a tourist trap so it definitely was not cheap for the measly offerings we got

Food is top notch but the hours are random and arbitrary and online ordering is often randomly offline. Vegetarian options: Thats funny...

Great BBQ!

Great food wished had more seating but outside had enough

What a hidden gem in Troy! Wonderful owners and one of the best BBQ places we have come by in the area. True BBQ is supposed to have crispy bark! So if you’re not into that do NOT come eat here and leave a poor review because of it! Really great crunchy coleslaw, pulled pork was great, and the pulled chicken is on the money. Not to mention the wonderful brisket! We will definitely be back with more friends next time! Thanks again :)
