We went here for an early lunch before setting off on a walk on the moor. We had the soup of the day and a pie--both were delicious. Staff were really attentive and atmosphere was nice and relaxed. We will definitely visit again when planning walks in the area. It was a bit colder when we visited but on a nice day there is great outdoor seating with a view of the valley below.
Great lunch. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Steak pie was amazing.
Lovely spot & simply stunning views out over the Wharfedale valley if you can get a seat out on the terraces Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Poor- but no fault of the owners - its the terrain in general nothing anyone can do about that
Special community owned pub, magnificent outdoors views across lower Wharfedale and to the Chevin and a warm indoor vibe where service is attentive but not intrusive by a young local crew. Great authentic Yorkshire pub fare, a wide beer/lager/ale selection and wine too. Family and dog friendly to boot, including muddy ones if you come off a well earned walk on the moor. Well worth the hike or a detour in the car if you're in the area.
Great food proper traditional pub highly recommended
A fantastic family meal Parking: Hack and his team made our large party very welcome. The service was exceptional and the food was epic Kid-friendliness: Really welcoming and child friendly
Enjoyed a wonderful pie again on the deal last night. Welcoming friendly and helpful staff. Pie was as good as it was a couple of months ago. Thanks team Hermit!!
