Have recently been to the Gate with the family and to the 'Little person's Xmas party' that Michelle the landlord had arranged for kids. It was brilliant.The kids loved it, Michelle and the staff went way and beyond to organize and at just £3pp . They arranged food,crafts,presents, games.Bargain Great local pub run by a landlady who is doing everything she can to make make people welcome..keep up the good work..

A great night had by all of us at the men's sheed at swanwick thank you for a great evening we will be back and a happy Christmas

My family held my Aunt's wake here at the gate . The staff were all so lovely and Michelle's buffet was excellent Thank you to all the team

Michelle was amazing doing my mums wake. The food and service was absolutely amazing I cannot thank her enough

Lovely pub and good staff. What you require for a few pints and a game of pool.

New to the area. My husband and our two dogs were made very welcome. We will be making it a regular drinking spot.
