Stopped at The Gage before seeing a show. The service was quick, and the waiter was pleasant. The Venison Burger was perfectly cooked. The brie paired perfectly with the meat. Dinner was delicious, but the dessert was the best part.
Pretty Amazing!!! We wanted a restaurant close to the Art Institute. The bar was right out of a movie. I told my friend that I wished it was closer to my house, I’d be there every night. We had very good old fashioneds. The fish and chips were the best I’ve had. The waitress was very attentive, watching to make sure we finished our soup before the meal came. When we got I bill, I was a little surprised that the bread I asked for ( so I didn’t get too sloshed on my old fashioned) was $9. As we left, a man asked us how everything was and I said it was wonderful except for the $9 bread. I said that logically, you’d want customers to have more cocktails as that was where the real profit was. Surprisingly, he listened and thanked us for the feedback and offered us another cocktail on the house said to come back for dinner on the house. I was so impressed that he listened and actually thought about it and cared! People who are actually engaged with their customers and willing to think about a different way of doing something are so rare.

Mostly solid, but last time I was there I had the worst steak frites I’ve ever had. It was cooked well done and it was so dry. Could barely swallow it with drinking copious water. I ordered it medium rare but was very overcooked. I was too hungry and didn’t send it back. Was awful.
Always a delicious experience
Good food, attentive service, and no skimping on the whiskey in my Irish Coffee!
Ask for Kalisha! What a wonderful birthday dinner!
