Been here a handful of times , quite stingy portions mushrooms on toast few mushrooms and could not eat the crust as never eat crusts and couldn't eat because knives was too blunt , all in all quite poor , will probably not return
Been here twice in the past year. It was bad the first time but worse the second. Food is expensive and portions are small. I had a breakfast which you either had hash brown OR mushrooms I asked for both and was charged £1.25 for literally the smallest amount of mushrooms. The cheapest produce money can buy. None of the tables or chairs match with anything, some are uncomfortable. It's really small and not much space to eat.crockery is all mismatched, stained and chipped. We asked for 3 pots of tea which were brought out in 2 different size tea pots. They don't even offer you sauce or anything with your meals. I have worked in catering for about 20 years, it's a shame because the cafe has been there for Bout 30 years and still seems popular by people who know nothing about food. I will not be returning.
Good food love there breakfast nice place and really friendly people defo recommend
Fish burnt peas dry no tartare sauce really bad for the price
Very good food. Good service
First time at the Fountain and will definitely be going back there whenever I go to Barry. Good value for money, v.friendly service, had a sandwich and a drink deal which was lovely, I asked for oat milk for my coffee, no problems, i highly recommend.
We often have lunch here, and always friendly staff and good honest food, prices also good.
Latter and cheese toasties £8.60. Toasties comes with crisps and coleslaw. Cosy cafe. Alice in Wonderland theme
My favourite place for a shopping break. Beautiful food and nice cup of tea from a teapot. Highly recommended
Had a breakfast here, was very tasty and everything was cooked to how we requested. Price is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. A toilet is available. There are steps to the cafe, can be an issue for some.
