Absolutely delicious. I had the Lighthouse Lemon and was so impressed with not only the flavor, but creativity, different textures and presentation as well. The lemon curd was tart and went perfectly with the sweet ice cream. Meringue sticks were also delicious. I loved the marketing and atmosphere and the staff was wonderful. Update: Jan 2024 and they still haven't contacted me. Horrible customer service. If you write you will contact then do so...don't just say it to make it look like you are resolving an issue when you don't. We went to Fog Company on Sunday evening with friends visiting from Kansas. We saw a few mixed reviews but I have heard some good things and the website and photos looked amazing. We proceed to get in the short line and order. We ordered a Gimme S’more and a doughnut sandwich. The staff seemed to be flustered with the other customer order ahead of us and as we ordered found out the soft serve ice cream machine was acting up. The Gimme S’more comes with chocolate soft serve but they said it was not working at all and offered us twist or vanilla instead. We asked for a twist. They struggled to get that to work and then the staff all cheered when it did…it looked very soft to me and then they continued to build the item. They ran out of something and put some pink crumbly stuff on the Gimme S’more. It did not look even close to the photo. The doughnut sandwich had very melted vanilla inside (we asked for a twist) and the doughnut did not taste that fresh. Overall very disappointed with the presentation (what they are know for) and taste with their alternate substitution in the Gimme S’more. I wrote them on Monday morning with our complaint on their website with no response at all. I see with some reviews here that there seems to be a stock response to contact them to further discuss their experiences. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt before writing a review but I have not heard anything from them. I would not recommend this place. Don’t get caught to the hype and the cute store front. Our friends thankfully got hard ice cream and said it was decent but pricy but did comment on how filthy the seating area was. The tables were gross with used napkins and melted ice cream. It looked like nothing was wiped down at all for a while on most tables. There were ice cream and topping messes on the floor and the garbage was over flowing.
Finger licking delicious Icecream and cookie place to drop in the waterfront area
Was a fun experience! Ice cream was creamy and delicious and the ‘fog’ was yummy too ( I mean it’s sugar basically, so that is expected). Will return next time I’m in Halifax!
Ice-cream with a cloud, sounded exciting and we tried. Lighthouse Lemon and Gold Rise was our choice. It was delicious but a bit messy as the candyfloss around didn't help. It looked pretty, perfect for Instagram shots and the children would enjoy it much more than an adult. So go for the plain ones if you don't want sticky messy hands and clothes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Outside seating is available. Apart from Ice-cream, they had Cookies and Donuts which looked delicious.
Thank you for the delicious apple fritter! Very welcoming service.
The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The icecream is awesome, the vanilla icecream actually has vanilla beans in it! I never seen legit vanilla icecream. It's messy fun!
Some of the best ice cream in the city, but their secret weapon is their donuts. Easily the best donuts in Nova Scotia. Try the Plane Jane, it's the closest thing to the legendary Krispy Kreme Honey Dip I've ever found.
