We stopped here with our dog for lunch and it made our day! I know, it's in Haworth and it's all about the Brontes, which is an interesting and indulgent experience. However, we weren't expecting such an amazing meal and fantastic friendly service. Its worth a visit in its own right! I definitely recommend taking advantage of the specials available the chef is exceptional. The head waitress/front of house manager is a whirlwind of energy and exuberance, with a little bit of a Barbara Windsor giggle. She knows all the dishes and keeps her eye on everything, no long delays between courses or clearing plates etc. We were fortunate to have the locally produced chorizo and pork sausages, sage mash, caramelised onion gravy and yorkshire pudding. I recommend it whole heartedly. My one suggestion, if you'll permit me, request a doggy bag (as the portions are huge) so that you can also have one of their scrumptious desserts. The chocolate fudge cake is a luxuriously sweet note to finish on. Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work and high standards!
Food & drinks: FoodAnd service were excellent! Noteworthy details: Too many dogs in the bar. We asked to be seated in the restaurant to avoid dogs but ended up on the bar. There was one dog beside us that barked loudly every couple of minutes and the owner seemed totally oblivious. I feel that the policy for dogs needs to ensure that customers are not deprioritised!
Great pub with plenty of choice of beers and spirits they also have a good food menu but you need to be quick to get in as it is very popular for food. Staff were very friendly and we would definitely visit again.
Lovely pub with pleasant staff and delicious food at a reasonable price. Will definitely be heading back.
Have eaten at The Fleece several times and the food has always been great. But on previous visits we must have managed to avoid the angry landlady or manager. On Saturday we were met by her for the first time and she was so rude and weird it actually became funny to our party of 5. Loads of ace pubs in Haworth so will book in there in the future. Shame because again food great, and other staff lovely, but would rather eat steak ale and pie without being shouted at. Being served by the angry woman was entertaining in a way though so given an extra star x
Great food and staff even when really busy will be back when in Haworth again.
Nice meals. Nice service. Reasonable prices. :)
