Friday night with Donny V’s show of various musicians was fantastic! A great vibe. Mixed drinks were great particularly the twist on the Moscow mule. Food is good, wishing they had more bar like food that would pair with their great craft beer. Sweet potato fries, bar nachos or have the tator tots dressed up. The canteen is warm and welcoming and service was great!
It’s a great concept and really changed area of town it’s in. Was a huge hit with the marketing as they have few tables every night of the week and all ages wall-to-wall.
Great food, beers and service. A must try if visiting Guelph.
Good beer and good food. Will return next time I'm in the area
Food was okay..everything was oversalted...nothing stood out as wow! Service was mediocre. Pricing for what you get and overall experience...OVERPRICED! Not sure if I want to return.
We love the pizza but I had wings for the first time...back to pizza next time. Pretty busy... probably need more staff.
Had a reservation for 2 for 6 pm. On time and seated just before 6. 6:20 drink order taken. 2 beers. It’s a brew pub. We are at a high top close to the bar. 5 min beers arrive. Food order placed. 6:50 food finally arrives pretty much all at once. I’m hangry at this point and wanted to leave but needed to eat. Order 2 more beers. They come within 10 min. Watch 2 guys seated at 7. Drinks by 7:05. Food by 7:15! So now I think fixed gear is just anti woman, anti queer or both since also noted 2 other women seated at 710 wait 20 min for drinks. I live down the street and eat local pretty regularly, have been to fixed gear and never really have top notch service but tonight was the last time. So disappointed with fixed gear that I just won’t support them at all. There are a lot of great places that stand out for food, drinks, and SERVICE. Fixed Gear is good on food, meh if you want really good craft beer and garbage for service if you don’t have the right “equipment.”
I usually get beer here, never food. But I tried one of their pizzas for $16. I was very disappointed because its a tiny thin crust flatbread and looked child or kids meal sized. No where on the website menu does it say its a tiny flatbread. In the pics it looked fullsized. I have even been to la cucina here and buon gusto that also have pizzas which is much larger for the same price. There wass also barely any sauce or cheese. Was supposed to be lunch for my family now i have to reorder something else
Good vibes here, very chill. They have something going on every night of the week! The caramel Biscoff cheesecake was wonderful and the wings are tasty. The beer was pretty standard, nothing overly crafty but good!
