My husband and I always have loved dining here until these past two times in the last year. We thought last time maybe it was an off night but they have definitely changed. Fish fry’s used to be fish so big it was hanging off your plate and they were the best around. Now they are small and taste freezer burnt. The breading recipe has changed and tastes like your licking a salt block. These past two times I can not bare to finish my fish it’s so overwhelming. I pass it to my husband to finish, who could normally eat two meals there, and he also had no desire to finish that meal. It’s really a shame it’s changed. His haddock deluxe has also changed recipes unless it’s just how poorly the fish is now that it’s ruined the taste. Unfortunately this is crossed off our list for future visits. For the price it costed us for two meals and a small pizza for a child it was absolutely not worth it.
We went for the Shrimp Scampi special and it did not disappoint it’s absolutely delicious. Nick was awesome and made our experience a lot of fun. The Crab Cakes was amazing and oh the dip that comes with it is a perfect addition. Would definitely recommend this place it was a great experience.
The new decor is fantastic. The food was delicious. Will definitely return soon!
The food looked very beautiful but my husband’s $79 surf and turf was cold and didn’t come with drawn butter so it got even colder whilst waiting for it to come. My uncle’s steak he ordered medium but it came rare, my husband ordered medium well and it was barely medium well. All of our food was barely warm and my husband’s lobster tail cold especially by the time he got the butter. We waited a long time to get our food which was explained to us ahead and we didn’t mind waiting but it would be nice if the food came hot for long wait time. We didn’t ask them to correct it because of the long wait time already and they were just getting busier. Our waiter was very friendly and polite nice and clean looking as were all the staff. It was just disappointing that the food was cold I’m sure it would have been fantastic if it came hot. My clam chowder was great and the clams were good too. We paid $210 for three of us to have dinner and an appetizer. The guys had 2 beers each.
The new owners are doing it perfectly. Their sauce and food is superb. My husband and I are close friend's of the Lees, and love the DeLuxe. I am glad the restaurant is back to where Charlie left it and better. Congratulations Vedora's!
The food was great. The steak was cooked just the way I liked it and the shrimp were not over cooked. Cocktails were phenomenal. The service was pretty good. They were busy as it was Valentine's Day and it took a while for our server to get back to us. It was ok though, it gave us more time to chat before our dinner arrived. She was polite but not personable. The restaurant is comfortable but it's very noisy in there and the lighting is stark so it didn't lend itself to a romantic dinner. Overall it was pretty good though.
Classic neighborhood Italian restaurant. Great food and the service was amazing.
