This cracking wee back-bone of a pub in the heart of Irvine, is one of the last traditional pubs still in the centre of town. Very well known for being a ‘Rangers Pub’, but it’s full of smashing folks, who like all sorts a teams. I’m a Partick man myself, I know a couple of Killie boys that visit for a tasty beverage. Pretty sure even the occasional Celtic fan ventures in for the banter. Smashing pint of Guinness in there. Good prices, and good banter. It’s a solid 4, and would be a 4 and a half, but I can’t add a half star Cheers all, Doc the Jock
Called in for a pint on Saturday morning nice little bar if a little rough round the edges but I don't mind that. What I do like a lot is that the pint prices are incredibly cheap for this day and age. A local crowd and quite busy for a Saturday morning. Very pleasant and chatty bar lady. I would certainly return if I'm in irvine again.
My first visit as I was put off initially by the outside look (an old English betting establishment), but after a year and three quarters of passing it, I ventured into the place. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was oldie world inside (but does have TV, internet and a juke box). No meals taken, had Guinness on visit and was surprised it was open from 07:00 each day, closing around eight to eight-thirty. Worth another visit.
