nice drink and nice pork scratchings
Booked for my other half’s birthday 6th April 2024. Had to ask for menus from the bar, the lady said ‘we will bring them over’ , she brought them over, slatted them on the table. Anyway, these were printed on A4 paper which isn’t an issue but were crumpled and dirty and we had 3 between 8 of us. Had to ask for kids menus. Waited about an hour for food. 4 of us had steaks. Worst steak of my life. Wouldn’t recommend the chef or if it wasn’t the chef then Roston Farm meat isn’t the best quality in that case. Chef clearly doesn’t know how to cook a medium rare. Two steaks sent back, the cuts which came out next were completely different in size and then they forgot the sauces for the steaks. Also the chips on the steaks which had been returned there was about 15 chips on the plate. (Fries) We got asked ‘any more salads’ apparently c the steak came with a sad looking bowl of wet salad. Two came with salad two didn’t, at this point we had given up. Kids meals - no beans only peas, that’s fine, the meals came out, no signs of peas anywhere. Literally couldn’t be bothered to ask for the peas, waitresses weren’t bothered about being there and no one really seemed to care. Wouldn’t recommend - but the birthday cake we took along was tasty!
Food & drinks: Lovely food at competitive prices.
What a great find! Staff, food and drinks all very high quality, something everyone else has forgotten! Dogs very welcome!
A cracking pub with a great choice and friendly staff. Worth a drive out.
Poor service food slow arriving
