Today's special Monday 19 chicken fajitas 11 am 3:45pm
From the moment we walked in, we sensed hostility from the waitress. When we finally were seated, we placed our orders. And the waitress was repeatedly forgetting to bring items to our table. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because she was also bartending, but she had an attitude. We all ordered at the same time yet we were receiving food at different times and one of our orders was never even brought. When asked about it they said oh they’re cooking now, sorry and preceded to take an additional 30 min. We felt that they were very attentive to all of their white customers but because we were mixed/black group it wasn’t the case for us. Would not go back. The food wasn’t all that great either. The chicken in the chicken pesto pita was very dry and our kid’s pizza slices were burnt. And we were never offered refills on our drinks. Never again !
This is the quintessential neighborhood restaurant and bar! It is often packed by neighborhood regulars. However new faces are always welcome and everyone will let newbies know what their favorite menu item is. Service is usually quick and is always with a smile. However for the best experience, don't be in a rush to get in and out, come and experience great food and drinks in a laid back, casual neighborhood joint. Tonight we ordered the Elm Pizza and it was delicious and not something you will find everywhere else! Vegetarian options: Much of the menu is vegetarian-adaptable if you eat dairy and eggs. Vegan guests may have fewer choices.
Good service, good draft beer, baked wings were huge but needed to be baked a lil more, 20 for $13! pizza $16/ $20. Personal vs large. Carnivore pizza had an avg amount of pepperoni but couldn’t see any ground beef, ham or any sausage on it. Must be Finely ground into cheese! Lol BITTER COLD night. Smokers / drinkers outside under heat lamps & when they ordered the inside smelled of smoke and was freezing with their outside window wide open! Very nice staff, NO service issues! Local yocal hangout. Just OK. Thx.
This was kind of a sleeper discovery, basically a neighborhood bar that happens to put on a pretty good lunch, including a good slice of NY pizza. They are pretty quick to, so it is a serviceable option as a lunch place for work.
So far I have only had sandwiches here. I recommend the blackened chicken sandwich. It has lots of flavor and the chicken is tender. I like that you can order healthier sides here such as celery and carrots sticks, cucumber salad...
Great service, food, and price. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
