This is the best location to begin a walking tour of Fairfax. The roastery is open and spacious feeling with an attractive menu. But it all ends there. The people are friendly but not your friends. The food is eatable, but not memorable. And the espresso is amateurish. My latte was under-heated with espresso that was watery and lacking any flavor worth complimenting. If this were just a restaurant, I'd leave it at that. But this place is supposed to be about its coffee & espresso. I wanted to be impressed by something - anything - but The Coffee Roastery was unimpressive in almost every respect. This is my 3rd similar visit in two years. Probably not going to keep trying to see if the place has changed...
A comfortable corner coffee shop. We liked the quiche selection and decaf latte for a late meal. The decor is fun and also fun to people watch.
The latin staff are the best. The tuna sandwich is to die for.. they serve the best hot chocolate!!
Excellent stop on a bike ride!
