Excellent brunch. Good coffee. Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. Nice place that's just a little bit different from the other options in Bakewell.
WOULDNT EVEN GIVE ONE STAR!The worst experience I’ve ever had. Ordered avocado on toast and an iced coffee. The toast took over half an hour to come out, the toast was completely burnt and yet it was cold. The avocado was so sour I could not even swallow it down. Iced coffee was so bitter. Waste of money
The ambience of this place is everything. Being an Indian in the UK, it was very exciting to see an authentic cultural vibe. They have added such beautiful pieces of Indian culture, tradition, and flavour. The drinks, although, are not so noteworthy, and the masala chai left a very bad taste, which thankfull was recovered by the Samosa chaat, which is the most popular and flavourful dish.
Slow service. Indifferent staff. Terrific food. Excellent vibe. I might as well end the review here, but some of the dishes deserve applause. The samosa was brilliantly crispy and tasty. The Indian vegan currywurst was an inspired invention (though might not rock everyone's boat)! The Punjabi chilli cheese melt with Tortilla chips was pretty awesome too. Good place.
Very nice coffe shop, delicious breakfast and great coffe too. I loved the atmosphere there ,also the staff was very helpful. Will come back
I have visted the Chakra Lounge many times in Buxton and the food and service is why I return. However after a visit to Bakewell Chakra Lounge I am utterly disappointed. The food is very good (compliments to the chef) but the girl serving our food was so rude and disinterested. One meal from a party of 4 was forgotten and when questioned her attitude was disgusting! There was no apology and the meal was slapped on the table over 20 minutes late after everyone else had eaten. I'm sorry but I or my friends and family will not be returning after this experience. Please ensure in future when you are employing new recruits, they have decent customer service skills ☹️
A really beautiful café with super friendly staff. But we waited about 40 minutes for our sandwiches when there were only 2-3 other customers. Our sandwiches were really not great, clearly microwaved, not toasted, and a bit slimy honestly. But, we noticed other people ordered salads and that looked great. I'm not sure what happened with our order but it was very disappointing.
Great atmosphere and ambience I had a lovely coconut cappuccino with a fluffy top, curry bowl with a lovely crunchy salad and naan. I couldn't give 5 stars as the curry was, so I had to smother in orange juice as they had no lemons? I've eaten a LOT of curries and a vegan retreat in India last year, and this was so tasty but spoiled by the chilli heat..not sure it was fresh or dried chilli It was super tasty, though
