Very disappointed with this establishment, claim to be a friendly place then when we came in to have a drink the person behind the counter shouted at me for bringing a drink in. We were going to have a drink and some food but turned around and left after this shock encounter.
I thought the rave reviews of this cafe must be exaggerating, but they really weren't. Excellent food for reasonable prices with friendly and helpful service. Plus, lots of interesting vegetarian and vegan options. I really couldn't have asked for more. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step to get into the antiques centre and another to get into and out of the cafe. Tables are too cramped to comfortably fit a wheelchair too.
Exactly what we were looking for, brunch bap was delicious and had a lovely hot chocolate. Staff were lovely and the menu made us giggle.
Cosy surroundings within a warm friendly atmosphere. Very tasty well produced food served with friendly banter. Very highly recommended
An absolute gem hidden on the side of an antiques shop. We had coffee and warm bakewell tart.. delicious.
What a hidden Gem! This place is so nice I didn't want to tell anyone about it. The owner and the staff are wonderful, friendly people and the food is to die for!
Nice quiet little cafe with good food.
Had lunch here twice in three days and it's been a great experience. Amazing value for money and lovely food served with a smile. Especially the lovely man with the beard (sorry, didn't catch your name!) on Friday the 19th. Came back for you today but shame to have missed you :) Enjoyed sitting in the middle of a nice antique collection!
Best cafe in Bakewell hands down. I'd recommend the flight of cakes if you're not visiting for lunch - great selection and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The cinnamon dunker biscuit is a must with a coffee. Great lunches too, really interesting flavours not your boring cafe food by any stretch! 10/10
