The Buried Bottle

New favorite bottle shop! The owner is friendly and every recommendation he had tailored to what I described is now a new wine favorite. Every Wednesday he has “weird wine” tasting.

Go up the stairs outside, and follow the signs for a fantastic wine tasting experience. The wines are great, the owner is helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I did a wine tasting and bought a bottle of wine.

My co-workers arranged my surprise retirement celebration at The Buried Bottle this past week. I had the most amazing time. The space was so warm, friendly and inviting. Alyssa one of the owners, I didn't get a chance to meet her other half, is the most amazing host. She took her time explaining the wines, I am by far NOT a wine connoisseur, and was so friendly and made us all feel right at home. Thank you for allowing our little party to hang out and enjoy your lovely space. I live in Vancouver and will do my best to try and make it back up to Tacoma. Chris and Allie are great hosts. An impressive wine tasting bar sitting in the beautiful theater district of downtown Tacoma. Great selection of wines and sparkling wines from across the World. A must visit for the lovers of wine!

We were in Tacoma for the weekend and had a chance to join a sailing knot class here and to drink great wine at the same time. Great selection, including many that were new to us, and all very reasonably priced. We had a great experience and will definitely be back.
