The Burger Stand @ Taos Ale House

These people behind the counter will NOT answer your phone calls (a guy with a beard & chick that was on her phone when I walked in) I called them 2 hours before they closed to have food to go so I can pick it up because I had been under the weather & I was desperately hungry for a bison burger so I show up hoping to order food but am greeted by one of the counter people on their phones, not busy at all, and they say they only have a late night menu, which is not on their website. I asked him why hadn’t they answered their phone for the last two hours, and he proceeds to tell me a bluegrass band was playing and then they’re pretty empty and quiet, which was insult to injury, given that I’d driven far in the hopes of a bison burger and I decided not to support them and not buy anything and left with wasted time. Do NOT waste your energy calling this business, they will not pick up and you will be left with wasting your time. I’m never buying from this place again for their lack of responsibility to answer a phone call. Maybe they don’t pay them enough to answer phone calls, regardless, it’s an extension of the people who run this business. Sleazy, unreliable, and self centered people that give this town a bad name.

The yardbird is the best grilled chicken sandwich in Taos. Always jucy, and flavorful with the perfect amount of toppings that go to together perfectly. I love this place.

Had yummy burger and dog here (both with green chiles) with exceptional regional beers. Was pleasantly busy on a Friday night (but still able to easily snag a table).

If you’re cool, they’re cool.

Food was great but the vibe was off. Apparently one of the other patrons had caused quite a scene the previous week and the staff and guests were all talking about her. Got the food to go. Staff was friendly but distracted.

first time eating here. French frys were good, but to be called a burger stand a serve a patty from a box and not hand make was disappointing.

Great burgers, I got the smoky, and it did not disappoint!

Uber was really good as was the side salad. But get the truffle fries- only make sure the fries were cooked properly- mine we undercooked a bit but the Parmesan truffle made up for the soggy fries : )
