I had lunch here for the first time yesterday and was blown away by the quality of the food. You’d be hard pressed to find such quality in a top restaurant! Nice cosy atmosphere and efficient service. A little gem and will definitely return.

Went for breakfast first time. The food was amazing only slight complaint was the length of time we had to wait. We went at 12.30 and ordered a fry up and the salmon. It took an hour for the food to come out. Was worrying as we had an appointment at 2. But the food was amazing so all was forgotten as soon as we started eating.

First visit to this cafe and have to say I was extremely disappointed by both the service and the food. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive. I ordered cheese on toast and it arrived burnt (it was actually black) and they still charged full price for this inedible monstrosity . Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Tiny restaurant, nice and simple decor. Lovely welcoming lady at the counter. I'd not been or heard of the place before so inspected the menu. Basic breakfast items and jacket potatoes so I wasn't expecting much. Most tables taken and yet more people were coming in and that's when they pointed out the specials board. God knows how I've never heard of this place, it truly is a hidden gem. The specials board got my mouth watering and that's when I noticed that no one here that lunchtime were ordering from the standard menu. My friend had the sea bream, I had the lamb shoulder and both were sublime. We watched the chef plating up with such precision and passion, and the flavour of the mint gravy.... I would have licked that plate if I wasn't in public!! Dreamy food and for a price that is an affordable treat. Two times 2 courses and two beers all for £40. Utter fabulous tasty bargain
